A hugely enjoyable three days during which I learned a lot about my car and greatly stretched my driving abilities. I was sad it was over at the end, and was reflecting afterwards on how remarkable it was that you remained completely calm, unflustered and in control throughout; particularly given I was a relative novice when it comes to performance driving.

The on road day was particularly enjoyable, and a real testament to you that we were able to drive fast (or fast from my perspective!) where appropriate, but always in a safe and controlled manner.

Specifically I have come away with:

1. Much greater appreciation and understanding of the car – helped in no small part by your impressive knowledge of the 911.
2. Lots of new skills to practice both on the road and the track.
3. Greater enjoyment and reward from driving my car; finally starting to drive rather than just travel.
4. The motivation to do more – as mentioned I have a day at Palmersport in a few weeks – which I was already looking forward to but even more so now – and no doubt will then want to see you again with a list of things I want to develop further.

I spent two days in the company of Ivan, back in October ‘21, and have only just managed to get to write a few words of praise, thanks and admiration for what were the best two days of driving/instruction I can honestly say I have ever had! Ivan is a fantastic instructor/trainer who is more than happy to share his many years of experience to help you get the most from your time with him, and get the most from your vehicle as well. From his years competing in rallying and driving with some of the world’s best performance car manufacturers, he draws on such a wealth of knowledge and delivers it in a manner which is easy to understand and take on board.

I wish I had discovered Total Car Control many years earlier, which would have helped me improve my driving style and technique before too many ‘bad habits’ had taken hold. However, now that I have, I am sure to be back, time and time again to improve not only my driving ability, but also my enjoyment of each and every journey I take in future.

I had an incredible 2 day course with Ivan at Millbrook and around Cambridgeshire back in March 2022. Now, 6 months later, I see the results of that experience. Due to Ivan’s coaching I changed my driving habits not only driving powerful cars, but even ordinary, slow vehicles.

I recommend this course to any sports car driver, as you probably underestimate what kind of car you possess. Thanks to Ivan I learned how my car behaves in different situations. I recommend taking up the offer a wet handling session, but otherwise just let Ivan see how you drive first and then guide you through techniques appropriate for you.

The whole 2 days were dedicated to driving and learning and having a lot of fun whilst doing it. I was asked if I wanted to be taken out of my comfort zone to learn as much as possible. Ivan accommodated everything I had requested to experience on the course.

There were plenty of new skills to master and I recommend a good night’s sleep beforehand to ensure you get the most out of the course. I highly recommend the 2-day Dynamic Driving Masterclass: it is without a doubt the most fun, exciting and constructive way to spend a couple of days.

I spent 3 intense but highly enjoyable days with Ivan in December. 2 days at Millbrook covering all manner of tips and exercises to learn how to REALLY control my car (and how to stop my chimp brain from taking over!). Followed by a day on public roads, putting it all into practice safely and legally.

Too many things stand out for me to pick just one (Outer Handling Circuit, High Speed Circuit, Hill Route…), but the way Ivan pushed me up to and beyond my comfort zone each day and then tied it all together for me was just the right balance.

I am definitely now a much smoother and more aware driver. Should be a requirement for everyone, no matter what they drive. Highly recommended.

Wanted to say thank you for yesterday. It was eye opening, humbling, exhilarating and superb. Having got home and slept on it, I have put more pieces together; starting from the initial exercises on the High G Cornering Circuit onwards, and how to apply it.

Driving around this morning my seating position was better, my speed and smoothness were way better and I felt safer and more in control of the car. I learned a lot and also learned that I have a lot more to learn 😊. I am still stunned at just how good the car is and driving around the alpine course, both as a passenger and driver is up there in my top 3 driving moments. Would like to spend more time doing that with you at some point, so that I can get faster overall and master the banked hairpin and late trail brake downhill into the off camber bend 😊.

I have been lucky enough to attend driving courses previously, but was surprised to find, through Ivan’s instruction, how little I knew or understood about my car’s actual performance, and more importantly how little I really knew about driving, even though I have moved cars around for many hundreds of thousands of miles.

The instruction is clear, concise, encouraging and delivered in a very personal way. Ivan has an enormous amount of experience to pass on and this made for a truly fantastic two day masterclass.
