I contacted TCC initially as a birthday present for my wife. We recently upgraded to an M4, which has a reputation of being a little spiky with its power delivery. Our previous car was all wheel drive and felt very planted on the roads of the Lake District. Kerrie in her own words was driving Miss Daisy in the M4, as she did not feel on top of the car’s handling and power delivery.

Due to the travelling time, I decided I would take part too, and we split our 2 days at Millbrook which worked out well for us. I felt that I was already an okay driver, with a good feel as to how to drive a car. How wrong was I!

Ivan is a professional driver and has been for over 20 years. Whatever you drive and how well you think you drive, there is a massive gap between a keen amateur and a professional. Suck that up and get yourself booked on a course with Ivan.

We both quickly started to understand and explore the capability and limits of our M4 in a safe environment, with loads of room when we got things wrong. The 2 days passed way too quickly, an hour in the car felt like 5 minutes, and we both came away with a wealth of knowledge. Yet we also understand that we have only scratched the surface, with loads more to learn from Ivan, and we’ll enjoy the process!
