I completed a 2-day Total Control Masterclass course with Ivan at Total Car Control as a four month later follow-up to a Dynamic Handling Masterclass at Millbrook with him. Firstly, more by accident than design I think I stumbled across the perfect way to learn from Ivan. The first session at Millbrook was perfect in undoing bad habits and rebuilding best behaviour. Four months of enthusiastic road driving putting better practice into action in terms of where I was looking, how I was steering and what I was asking from the car at each moment meant that when I came back to see Ivan for the weekend I was building on an incredibly strong foundation.

The Saturday at Millbrook took my dynamic skills to a higher and more consistent level, able to enjoy my car up to the limit of adhesion confidently – and venture beyond when safe and appropriate to do so. The day spent with Ivan on the road taught me new and beneficial skills that have been proven since to enable me to drive smoothly, safely and enjoyably across all types of roads, in all types of weather and get full enjoyment from my car; safely. Ivan brings out the best in you, and gently polishes off the worst in you with a smile and positive encouragement. I can clearly state that I have had a far greater return on investment in what I paid for my car versus enjoyability since my time with Total Car Control. Anyone that spends money on exhausts, wraps etc but not on themselves cannot truly call themselves a car enthusiast. Go and see Ivan. Tomorrow. Or next time he’s free… I understand he’s quite popular…
